To Kimmy, Chipper, and Laura....I remember my childhood with you guys and your Mom. Janet was special to my Mom and to all of us Lohreys. I'll say a prayer for you all and Janet.

Chip, Kim and Laura:

I just randomly thought about Chip while listening to some classic rock and it totally evoked memories of hanging at your house through a good bit of my formative years. Wellington Rd was always a place where I felt welcome and I loved your Mom.
She was always cheerful and welcomed me and other teenage derelicts into your house which looking back was really fortunate because God only knows what else we may have gotten into that we should not be doing. Many stories not to be shared in this forum.
I have so many fond memories of your Mom, one of the most significant goes back to fall of 1984, senior of college. At least I think it was 1984. My parents were such avid cruisers that they opted for a cruise in lieu of the usual family Thanksgiving gathering. Your Mom and family warmly reached out and I had a gireat Thanksgiving that year.
It's been a while since I spoke with Janet but I did recall the phone number maybe a year and a half ago and I reached out and called her.
While I know she had aged, as we all have......she still sounded as youthful as ever and I had a great conversation.
Your loss is great and I know your Mom will be missed by many. Her memory will live on in the fine adults y'all have become. Even though Chip and I don't talk or see each other as much I would like, I still consider him one of my best friends and the Carnes family as well.
Blessings and prayers to all of you at this difficult time.
Best,
Bentley
