Jeffrey Amdur

Jeffrey Ira Amdur, of Pikesville, Maryland, passed away on Friday, September 27th, 2024, at the age of 74. He is survived by his devoted sister, Marlene Amdur-Ferguson (Walter Ferguson); his cousin, Alan Rosenthal; and also survived by countless friends. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Clarence and Lillian Amdur.

Jeff was a true renaissance man, teaching and speaking three foreign languages-French, Spanish, and some German-over his 30-year career in Anne Arundel County. For the last 20 years, he served as a part-time teacher and Assistant Librarian at Beth Tfiloh Dahan High School. A passionate sports enthusiast, Jeff cheered for the Orioles, Ravens, and Colts, and was a devoted superfan of the Baltimore Clippers and Skipjacks AHL teams. He was well-known at his schools for his basketball game announcing and scorekeeping, and he is deeply missed for his contributions in that role. Additionally, Jeff had a great love for professional wrestling, effortlessly bridging conversations between Baudelaire and Rowdy Roddy Piper. Above all, he was the best big brother a girl could wish for. May his memory be a blessing always.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Monday, September 30th, 2024, at 11 am. Interment Arlington Chizuk Amuno Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
