Jerlean Addison Carter

Jerlean Addison Carter, age 86, of Forest Hill, Maryland passed away on October 6, 2021 at Forest Hill Heights in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born in Jewell Ridge, VA, she was the daughter of Lee and Hattie (McGlothlin) Addison and wife of Lester Carter. She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked as a registered nurse before her retirement. She was a member of the American Legion in Bel Air. Jerlean had a passion for gardening and was featured in local newspapers in recognition of her beautiful gardens.

In addition to her husband, Jerlean is survived by her daughter, Virginia Reilly, daughter-in-law Dr. Jane Bleasdale and grandchildren Justin and Sarah Bleasdale of NJ; Karen Barrett of WA, Lorie Carter of WA and Stacie Fleece of CA; grandchildren Addison Barrett, Piper Fleece & Carson Fleece; sister, Patricia Choate of NM; and many nieces, nephews and extended living family. Jerlean's son, Steve Reilly of NY predeceased her in 1986.

Visitation will be held under the caring guidance of McComas Funeral Home, Bel Air, Maryland on Sunday, October 10, 2021, from 4-7 pm. Services will be held on Monday, at the funeral home at 10 am. Entombment will take place in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
