Jerold Nook Obituary

Jerold Lee Nook, age 82, of Edgewood, MD, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Born in Lenox, IA, he was the son of the late Ernest William and Wilma Elizabeth (Bell) Nook and the beloved husband of Sandra Phyl Nook (née Boland).

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Mark (Elizabeth) Nook and Renee (Patrick) Ward; grandchildren, Trevor Smith, Elsie Smith, Kieran Nook, and Harper Nook; sister, Arlene Steddom; and brother, Glen Nook. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Clifford Nook, and Dwight Nook.

A U.S. Army veteran, Jerold will be remembered for his dedication to family and service.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with a memorial service at 12:00 PM, at McComas Family Funeral Homes, Abingdon, MD.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be left at mccomasfuneralhome.com.
