Joel Fader Obituary

Joel Jay Fader, of Owings Mills, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, May 8th, 2025, at the age of 63. He is survived by his loving children, Emily Fader (Justin Sain), Jacob Fader (Sidney Rucker), Daniel Fader, and Eden Fader; mother, Ruth Fader; and sisters, Susan (Brad) Feild, and Betsy Goldstein (Rich Dezelon). He was predeceased by his devoted father, Dr. Howard Fader.

Born in Athens, Georgia, and raised in Baltimore, Joel was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, where he started his radio career at their local station. Later on he hosted two different radio shows about two of his passions, Music and Law, one of these shows (music) would often feature his oldest daughter, Emily. He also graduated from Nova Southeastern University Law School, and later started his own private practice.

There was never a man more kind, a heart more loving, and spirit more full of an appreciation for life than Dad. He loved music, gardening in nature, coffee, animals, people, but nothing more than his children and family. He gave willingly and thoughtlessly, without reservation or prejudice, and he will be with us always. Always have, always will.
