I am very proud to have served with John with the Comm Plt of 1st, Bn, 26th Marine Regiment in Vietnam during 1966/67. He was a good Marine and, above all, a great man. It was great to see him last year in Chicago . We had some good conversations during that reunion. I wish we could have gotten together sooner. Semper Fi, John!

Good journey my old friend. I remember you well all the way from when 1/26 formed up in CA through Hill 55 and Khe Sanh. We lost track after Vietnam. Sounds like your life was good and fruitful. Warm thoughts to your family and your memory.

John was one of those friends you counted on one hand. He was the quiet in the storm, the light at the end of the tunnel and the best part of humanity I´ve ever known. It was impossible to be in his presence and not want to be the best version of yourself. To his family and friends, my heart & soul is with you.
