John Donahue Obituary

Fr. John R. Donahue, S.J. was a Jesuit Priest, a New Testament professor for four decades and a prolific writer on the Gospels. He was born on July 3, 1933 and died on October 28, 2024. He is predeceased by his parents, Raymond Donahue and Margaret Ryan, and his sister, Rose Marie. He is survived by his sister, Margaret and myriads of nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was always humbly proud of his family.

Friends may call at the Colombiere Jesuit Community Chapel, 5704 Roland Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21210 on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 3 to 5 PM (with a prayer service) and from 7 to 8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 1 PM at Loyola University Alumni Chapel, 4501 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21210. Burial at Woodstock Jesuit Cemetery, Monday, November 11, 2024 at 11 AM. Donations may be made to the Maryland Province Treasurers Office, 5704 Roland Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21210. Arrangements by the family-owned Mitchell-Wiedefeld Funeral Home, Inc.
