John Parron Obituary



John L. Parron (Ret Officer), 71, of Orrtanna, PA died Wednesday morning, January 20, 2016 at Genesis Gettysburg Center. Born December 14, 1944 in Cumberland, MD and raised in Baltimore he was the son of the late Richard and Letitia (DeBarbieri) Parron. He was the husband of Joan K. (Mollie) Parron, of Orrtanna to whom he was married to for 41 years. Mr. Parron was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Orrtanna. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a Baltimore City police officer for 25 years retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. In addition to his wife, John is survived by his three daughters, Jane Maureen Parron and her husband David, of Woodbridge, VA, Katherine Elizabeth Parron, of Baltimore, MD, Mollie Ann Gopalan and her husband Shri, of Westminster, MD, four grandchildren, Sara-Katherine, Ethan Thomas, Bernadette, Augustine, and five brothers, David, Richard, Edward, Thomas, and Michael. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew James Parron, who died in 1982. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 1095 Church Rd., Orrtanna, PA. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Tuesday evening, January 26, 2016 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA.
