On August 7, 2017; John K. Simms, United States Army Veteran of Perry Hall; beloved husband of Joan B. Simms nee Sperl; devoted father of Gail Diepold and husband John, Cindy Aherne and husband Mike, John T. Simms and wife Donna, Bonnie Simms, Linda Simms and preceded in death by a son Robert Simms; loving grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of 9; dear brother of James Simms, Shirley Brandt and Betty Butler. Family and friends will honor John's life at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel-8800 Harford Road, Parkville on Wednesday, August 9 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM where a funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday. Interment Gardens of Faith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in John's name may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital. Memory tributes may be sent to the family at www.evansfuneralchapel.com
