Dear Corby, Jonny and Lauren,
We only just learned of your loss today, and words cannot adequately express our deepest sympathy and sorrow. Jonathan truly was a singular person: loving, kind, funny, and deeply concerned about others. We are truly blessed for his befriending us and our son, Robbie, and being such a beautiful influence in Robbie's life at a most critical age.
Please accept our deepest sympathies, and know that we will always be close at hand for all of you.

Jon was a truly good person, and the world is a better place for him being here. Those of us in classes behind him at Gilman benefited from his good nature and good humor. His graciousness was demonstrated by his activities at St. David's church where he always welcomed visitors and new members and made them feel like part of the group. He always encouraged others to celebrate their ancestry and heritage by joining groups such as the Society of Colonial Wars. His friendship was appreciated by all his neighbors.
My deepest sympathies go to his mother, wife, children and sister.
- John McDaniel.

So sad to learn about my friend Jonathan. For 15 years, I worked with Jonathan at Williams & Wilkins. Prayers to Corby, Jonnny and Lauren. We used to talk about you guys a lot since I have two children the same age as each of you. He will be missed.

Jonathan was an incredible friend and colleague. I am fortunate to have been able to know him over the past decade. He was always so receptive and attentive to what needed to be done for an optimal product. In our effort to find new and better ways to treat cancer, it is these stories of an amazing life cut short that compel me to work faster and smarter.

Jonathan and Corby were my neighbors when I lived on Knox Court in the city. When I saw an ad that W&W were hiring, I asked him if he'd put in a good word for me with "the powers that be". And he did, even though I barely knew him. That was in Dec 1995 and I've been right where I wanted to be - in the medical publishing realm - ever since. I recall him telling me that he found out about W&W from a member in his choir. Little did Jonathan know he was "paying it forward." I ran into Jonathan, after I left LW&W in 2002, at the car wash and, more recently, at the June 2012 - ASCO meeting. He always spoke about Corby, Jonny, and Lauren so lovingly whenever I saw him. I was always so impressed by that. I'm SO grateful to have been helped by him. It shaped the last 17 years of my career and, therefore, the quality of my life - for the better! God Bless You, Jonathan!

Dear Corby, Peggy, Mrs. Pine, Jonny, and Lauren
I just learned about Jon/JP - immediately flashed back to days at W&L, SBC and Apple Blossom when the Hancock/Stafford-Woody families were neighbors on Washington Street. Incredibly shocked & sad to know that Jonathan died; he will forever be a gentleman, friend and greatly missed. My love and best to all of you.

So sad to hear of Jon's passing. I first met Jon at W&L. I was on the lacrosse team and Jon was one of our managers. He was delighful, dedicated and we loved the fact that he was part of the team. Later, I would run into Jon at L'Hirondelle and he was always remembering his W&L days and also talked about how proud he was of his children. I will miss Jon's humble and steady presence.
