JUANITA LA FLAME Obituary

LA FLAME , Juanita JUANITA LA FLAME, 67, of Frostburg, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010 at her residence after a long battle with cancer. She went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in his eternal Heavenly home. Born February 22, 1943 in Westlake, Louisiana, Juanita was the daughter of the late Planey Joseph Fontenot, Sr. and Neles Marie (Dutile) Fontenot. Juanita was also preceded in death by three brothers, Wilbert Fontenot, Henry Fontenot and Planey Fontenot, Jr.; and one sister, Rose Marie Rogers. Mrs. La Flame was a homemaker. Juanita was a member of Saint Michael Church, Frostburg. She is survived by her loving and caring husband of 46 wonderful years, Wayne D. La Flame, of Frostburg, where they made their home; one son, John W. La Flame, of Crowley, LA; two brothers, Wilson Fontenot and wife Helen, of Moss Bluff, LA, and David Fontenot, of Westlake, LA; and three sisters, Anne Pettit and husband David, of San Antonio, TX, Katy Richard and husband Robert, Lake Charles, LA, and Brenda Sue Spearin and husband James, of Westlake, LA. Juanita was also survived by two brothers-in-law, John G. La Flame and wife Marcella, of Middle River, MD, and Rodney A. La Flame, Tuscon, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Fontenot, Jennings, LA, and Mary Regina La Flame, Baltimore, MD; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and well-caring personal and family friends, neighbors and Saint Michael church members.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Michael Church, Frostburg, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Msgr. James W. Hannon as celebrant. Interment will be in the Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Flintstone, MD. Condolences may be sent to the family at durstfuneralhome.com.
