Kuan-Yu TREVILLIAN Obituary

TREVILLIAN, Kuan-Yu, 48, of Williamsburg, passed away July 10, 2011. Kuan-Yu, a native of Taiwan, was a loving, caring woman who chose a career in the service arena as an esthetician. She was most recently employed at the Kingsmill Spa & Resort in Williamsburg. Her heart of service for others was evident in the helping hand she often lent to elderly neighbors who needed help reading or understanding mail and bills. She loved people and socializing with them. She was an excellent cook and also enjoyed exercising regularly. Kuan-Yu is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Barton D. Trevillian; her father, Je-Fu Yu; her mother, Yueh-Tsui Takahashi; her stepfather, Katsumi Takahashi; her brother, Kuan-Tsan Yu and his wife, Chun-Man Lai; and their children, Wendy Yu and William Yu. A gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, July 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. Online condolences may be offered at www.nelsencares.com. Kuan-Yu frequently cared for and visited others while they were ill; therefore, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Hospice House, 4445 Powhatan Pkwy., Williamsburg, Va. 23185.
