Leo J. Gagnon

1938 - 2018

Leo James (Jim) Gagnon, 79 passed away on March 13, 2018 at his home in Ellicott City MD. He was born on December 20, 1938 in Eagle Lake, Maine to the late Leo Joseph and Jeannette Garette Gagnon.He worked for Connecticut General Life insurance for 30 years as an audio/visual specialist. Jim married Patricia Schimke in 1957 in Hartford, CT. They were happily married for 60 years. Jim was a member of Connecticut National Guard and the Holy Name Society Enfield, CT. He enjoyed his time as coach for Enfield Little League and organizing youth basketball for St. Adalbert's Church, Enfield, CT. Jim is survived by his spouse Patricia of Ellicott City, MD; his children James Edward and spouse Joyce Gagnon of Lascassas, TN, Edward James and spouse Susan Gagnon of Batavia IL and Kimberly Gagnon Williams of Columbia MD. He was a proud Papa to 10 grandchildren Barbra Macedo, Lindsay Cuddy, Katie Coffland, Christina, Alexandra, Elizabeth and Zachary Gagnon, Megan, Sara and Thomas Williams; 4 great-grandchildren Evan and Aiden Coffland, Olivia Macedo and Lily Cuddy. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 1 pm at Harry H. Witzke's Family Funeral Home, 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043.
