Lianka Azulay

Lianka Azulay, a resident of Baltimore, Maryland, gracefully departed from this world on Thursday, December 28th, 2023, at the age of 50. She is survived by her cherished son, Asher Richard Azulay Seabrook; her loving mother, Rachel Azulay; her adoring sister, Luanna Azulay, and her fiancé, Moshe Soto; and her beloved husband, William Seabrook.

In the tapestry of her life, Lianka was a woman of many talents and passions. Her vibrant spirit, marked by creativity and extroversion, touched the lives of those around her. Proficient in calligraphy, drawing, cooking, and decoration, she approached every endeavor with unwavering enthusiasm. From her early days as a journalist for one of Brazil's most significant magazines, where she etched her name in history by interviewing cultural icons, to her diverse roles in the private and public sectors upon moving to the US, Lianka's journey was a testament to her versatility.

In 2010, driven by her passion for crocheting, she founded Bonita Patterns. Through her intricate and beautiful designs, Lianka illuminated the crochet world, captivating admirers worldwide. Her patterns became a source of inspiration, earning her a devoted global following.

Her greatest project and deepest joy came in the summer of 2012 with the birth of her son, Asher. Lianka poured herself into mothering, all belly laughs and tender tears, with Asher her smile beamed endless love. He carries that on, as do all who were blessed by Lianka's spark.

Services to celebrate Lianka's life will be held at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Baltimore, MD 21208, on Thursday, January 4th, 2024, at 1:00 pm. The interment will take place at United Hebrew Cemetery.
