Logan Cross Obituary

Logan Reilly Cross, 24, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 in a tragic car accident. Logan was not only a phenomenal mother to her son, Declan McDermott, but a loving daughter, sister, and friend.

Logan was born on April 19, 1995 to parents Joseph and Melanie Cross, and lived her entire life in Harford County. She selflessly poured her heart and soul into being Declan's mom, and still sacrificed even more to work part time as a bus driver to provide for him, as well as pursue radiation therapy at CCBC Essex to better both of their futures.

Logan's laugh was contagious, and she brought a spirit of joy and fun wherever she went. She gave generously without expectation of receiving anything back, she was quick to forgive, and she was full of compassion, love, and encouragement for her friends and family. Her beautiful soul and smile will be sorely missed by those she left behind, but never forgotten.

Logan is survived by her 2.5-year-old son, Declan; her mother Melanie Cross; her father Joseph Cross and his wife Dawn Cross; and sisters Jaimee Sturgis, Kaitlyn (Glen) Harrison, and Kayla (John) Bawroski; as well as countless relatives and friends.

Due to recently mandated gathering restrictions, a ceremony celebrating Logan's life will be held at a later date and announced on her Facebook page.

Although I have only know Logan for a couple of months I am heartbroken over the loss. She was such a sweet and compassionate person who made everyone smile. She was the most wonderful mother to sweet Declan and what happened simply isnt fair. I will forever keep her and Declan in my thoughts and prayers.

Logan is a beautiful woman that is terribly missed ♡ I met Logan when she was basically a baby back in the day when I first started hanging out with her Sister Jaimee. I then met Logan again later on a few years ago as an adult, she was working at Healthbridge Chiropractic. Logan was so sweet and I thought she was so pretty ♡ Some how Jaimee came up in conversation and that is how I realized who she was. After that I instantly noticed the resemblance between Logan and Jaimee. This is so heartbreaking for Logan's whole family and her Friends. I pray to God to be with them right now and to ease their suffering. Declan is an adorable little boy and is Lucky to have such a Great Family to look after him and raise him. My heart goes out to you ALL ♡ May you RIP Logan, pretty girl ♡

I was and am heartbroken to hear of Logans tragic death. I still see the little girl from Girl Scouts in my memories and I am blessed to have such sweet memories of Logan and all of the girls I was fortunate enough to get to know through Girl Scouts. Melanie my heart is breaking for you and your family and I wish there was something I could do for you. Please know I am praying for your peace, strength and continued faith. You are constantly in my thoughts.
