Margaret Richardson Obituary

On October 16, 2022, Margaret "Peggy" L. Richardson passed away at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Jarrettsville, MD. She was 92. Peggy is preceded in death by her husband of six decades, Lawrence "Larry" A. Richardson, Sr.

A devoted and loving mother of four children, she is survived by Lawrence A. Richardson, Jr. and his wife, Maryjo, of Forest Hill; Kathy Kerrigan and her husband, Mike, of Bel Air; Joanne Vendetti and her husband, John, of Jarrettsville; and Tim Richardson of Catonsville. She was also the beloved grandmother to eight grandchildren; Brendan Kerrigan and his wife, Megan; Cory Richardson; Molly Kerrigan; Lena Petrik, and her husband, Andrew; Sean Richardson; Vinny Vendetti; Olivia Richardson; and Lillian Richardson. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; Reese Kerrigan, Nora Petrik, and Alessandra Richardson. She will also be missed greatly by her two amazing caregivers, Dana Mileskie and Kimberly Winkler.

Peggy and her husband, Larry, moved to Bel Air in 2009 after spending 57 years in the Parkville, MD home where they raised their children. A devout Catholic, she lived a life of faith and was especially active at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Overlea, MD until moving to Bel Air and joining the congregation at St. Ignatius Hickory Church in Forest Hill, MD.

In addition to her family, Peggy loved Baltimore Orioles baseball and everything Irish, including a smooth pint of Guinness and walking in the St. Patrick's Day Parade as a longtime member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians. Peggy also loved sitting outside on the deck and feeling the warm sun shine upon her face. However, her favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who adored her. Peggy was a 1948 graduate of the Institute of Notre Dame.

Visitation services will be held at McComas Celebration of Life Center in Jarrettsville, MD (1114 Baldwin Mill Rd.) on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Hickory Church in Forest Hill, MD.
