Mark Seese Obituary

Mark Alan Seese passed away on Tues. Sept. 11, 2018 at the age of 76, after a long bout with cancer. He was surrounded by his family who so loved and respected him, including his wife, Marlene, of 53 years, his eldest son Kirk and wife Christine, daughter Erin & husband James Brost, youngest son Brandon & wife Rosalind, and his seven grandchildren, Jacob & Sophia Seese, Bella & Natalie Brost, and Aidan, Juliana & Abree Seese. He was born and raised in Connellsville, PA by his parents James & Alice Seese, with his younger brother Craig & sister Kathy. Graduating from Connellsville high school as class president, he went on to earn his BS degree in Chemistry from Otterbein College in Ohio. Mark worked for WR Grace & Co. for 33 years as a research chemist obtaining several patents while raising his family in Ellicott City, MD where he was steadily active at St. John's Episcopal Church. Mark & Marlene retired and moved to Sarasota, FL in 2008 and became active in Christ Church of Bradenton, especially in their outreach program. Mark was such an example of an intelligent, thoughtful, caring, patient and generous man to all who knew him. He has taught us so much just by the way he lived and will be dearly missed. The memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church in Ellicott City on Oct. 20th at 10:30am followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.
