Michael was a dear friend whom I met at the Maryland Art Institute. We corresponded for years after I moved to California and I always looked forward to his creative annual Christmas cutouts. He was so artistic in many ways...and will live on in my memory.

Oh, I am so very sad to discover this news. Michael was a lovely man. Kind. Creative and enthusiastic. I met Michael 35 years ago through the love of my life, Thom Cioffi. Michael was Thom's best friend. When things fell apart between Thom and me, I'd only run into Michael occasionally at Theatre Project where he was a regular, documenting the performances with his extraordinary gestural drawings. My condolences to his family, dear friends and to the thousands of students he no-doubt imbued with passion for love of life and beauty. I will miss Michael so much. I had hoped to see him on this trip to Baltimore. Not meant to be.

Vicky, sorry to hear about the death of your brother. Sounds like he was quite a guy. I hope his magic and talent continue to live on in your heart. I'll remember you both in my prayers.

Michael was a much loved neighbor. He was quiet, kept to himself a good bit but was very caring. He was a gifted artist and musician. I looked forward to the hand made Christmas card through my door each year. I missed him when he moved and wish I had kept in touch with him. I cam only imagine the number of lives he touched as a teacher for so many years.
