Michael Mardiney Obituary
On March 28, 2015 Michael Ralph Mardiney, Jr., M.D. beloved husband of Karen Jo Mardiney and the late Eleanor Mardiney; devoted father of Michael Mardiney, III (Michelle), Megan Mardiney (Cory), Matthew P. Mardiney, Sr. (Annette), Brian P. Mardiney and Amanda E. Mardiney; loving grandfather of Michael Mardiney, IV, Laurel Mardiney, Mariah Hill, Jackson Hill, Matthew Mardiney, Jr. and Hannah Mardiney; dear brother of Phyllis T. McKeen; and former husband of Maryann Mardiney. Friends may call at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Road (beltway exit 26) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM and Saturday from 10 to 11 AM at which time a Funeral Service will be held. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dr. Mardiney's name may be made to Catholic Charities; 320 Cathedral St.; Baltimore, MD 21201.

While living in Riderwood yrs. ago, my daughters & the Mardiney children attended the Good Shepherd Nursery school. I was in a car pool, transporting them. So, I remember them as very small children. So, I was glad both boys followed in their father's footsteps & became Drs. My condolences to the family of Dr. Michael Mardiney. Rosemary Harper

Dr Mardiney will truly be missed. He was a brilliant man way ahead of the times. I remember going to his house for my interview on a Saturday, which yes at first I did find odd, but if you knew Dr Mardiney every day was pretty much a work day and he was always busy doing something. His ideas of expediting patient calls to ensure rapid, adequate, and accurate responses were incredible and conceived ahead of the times. He was an "old school" doctor his patients came first and he loved it. He also never stopped furthering his knowledge which he wasted no time in sharing to anyone who would listen. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and patients. They are also with all those who have worked with him throughout the years. Special thoughts and prayers to those who were there when I worked there especially Cossett Hayes, Dr Matthew Mardiney Sr, and Dr Micheal Mardiney III.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathies on the loss of Dr. Mardiney. Hearing of his loss has brought me to tears, he was so important to me as more than a doctor but also as a friend, a mentor and an advisor. I truly enjoyed seeing him and am glad I was able to sing Happy Birthday to him recently at his Overlea office. The impact he had on my life has been enormous and I owe him my good breathing and good allergy control. I cannot imagine not seeing him. I know the loss must be so great for his family and I will be praying for all of you. We will all have our fond memories of a great man and a great doctor, may he rest in peace <3

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Mardiney. My condolences to all the Family. He was a very caring Doctor as well as his sons. They have been such a help to me with my health issues for so many years. I am so grateful. May God Bless You all at this sad time .

My sincerest condolences are being sent to the Mardiney family. Dr. Mardiney treated 3 generations of my family, improving our quality of life greatly. He always was available, listened to all concerns, had a story to tell, and was just a genuine old school doctor. He will be missed tremendously.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Mardiney. My daughter and I have been a patient of the practice for a few years now. He was a wonderful clinician with a great bed-side manor. There are not too many specialists these days that possess both of these qualities. He always had time for me and my questions. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I will miss my visits with you. I found humor in the way you put medicine in layman terms by using war analogies to explain how your plan of medicine was going to wipe out the allergens that I suffer from. You treated me with respect and made me feel important. You appeared to take a personal interest in my life. I will miss your brilliance and was honored to have known you.
