Nancy Baublitz Obituary

Nancy Lee Baublitz, age 81, of Aberdeen, Maryland passed away on January 20, 2023 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Edward and Laverne (Barthel) Lucas. She worked at Proctor and Gamble and retired after 20 years of service. Nancy enjoyed time boating on their boat "The Wanderer" and was a member of the Bush River Yacht Club. She was a big NASCAR fan, especially of Dale Earnhardt and Chase Elliott. She collected classic cars, enjoyed reading, was a big Elvis and Baltimore Ravens fan and loved spending time with her family.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 61 years, William Baublitz Jr.; sons, Todd (Mary Ann) Baublitz and Rick (Lorraine) Baublitz; daughter, Patty (Danny) Johnson; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; brother, Buddy (Illona) Lucas; and sister, Ruth (Gene) Boblits.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Lisa Marie Baublitz, sister, Pat Lucas, and brothers, Donny Lucas and Barry Lucas.

Visitation will be held under the caring guidance of the family owned and operated McComas Family Funeral Home, Abingdon, Maryland on Thursday, January 26, 2023, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Services will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Maryland Chapter, 10626 York Road, Suite A, Cockeysville, MD 21030 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.

Condolences to the entire Baublitz Family. Nancy was a kind and wonderful person who always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed living life to the fullest. We all will remember how much Nancy loved caring for her family, boating, spending time with her friends & neighbors and contributing to the activities at BRYC. She will be missed dearly.
