Nancy Nett Obituary

Nancy L Nett, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025 at the age of 89 in Lady Lake, FL. Nancy was born in Baltimore, MD on January 13, 1936 to William R. Williams and Hazel R. Williams. Nancy loved life and was the light of many people's world. She truly touched the lives of everyone who met her. From giving blood several times a year like clock work, volunteering, or having a nice chat with a stranger she brought a goodness to all around often with just a smile. In her younger years, Nancy was a star athlete in school for field hockey and a starting guard on the basketball team. She work in finance and transportation with the Federal Government for 20 years. Nancy was an avid reader, her love of books led her to volunteer Thursday afternoons at the Mark Twain Library in The Villages where she shared that joy with others. She loved to travel and visited South Korea, Japan, Russia, most of Europe and all of the great United States. When her head was not in a book, you could find Nancy at the bowling alley offering up advice to beginners as well as the opposing team! She also loved shopping (especially for shoes) and never missed a chance to try her luck at casinos with friends. The memory of her unwavering support, kind heart and ability to make everyone feel loved is forever imprinted. Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Rest in Heaven's Glory Nancy Nett. Survived by her husband Anthony J. Nett, children Andrew Ely, Karen Ely and Donna Carter, grandchildren Sarah Bridwell, Crystal Rymer, Elizabeth Eskew, Dominic Carter and Ryan Nett, great grandchildren Cameron Rymer, Niylah Nett, Olivia Rymer, Silas Eskew, Brantley Ledford, Santiago Carter, and Victoria Carter. Predeceased by her parents, her siblings Jane Kager, William R. Williams Jr., and Sandra Holmes, her children Cynthia R. Bridwell and Richard W. Ely.
