Nicholas Greaves Obituary



Nicholas George Greaves passed away Friday, October 20th from complications of dementia and cancer. The Bel Air resident was 76 years old. A devoted family man, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Lynn Keene; daughter Mary Greaves Jones and husband Robert; son Nicholas Thompson Greaves and wife Erin; son Jason Aubrey Greaves and wife Beth; grandsons Jacob Nicholas Greaves and Samuel Francis Greaves; sister Lindsay Elizabeth Greaves; brother Patrick Robert Greaves; deceased brother Jeffrey Thompson Greaves; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home in Bel Air, Maryland, on October 26th from 6-8 pm, and October 27th from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at St. John's the Evangelist in Hydes, Maryland on October 28th at 11 am. Interment at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Road D, Timonium, MD 21093 or the American Heart Association, 217 E Redwood Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. Lynn and family I extend my heartfelt sympathy to you for your loss. Having worked under Nick's leadership for my almost 17 years at Blue cross and Blue shield, it saddens me to to have learned of his passing. We have lost a "Gentle Gaint". I will forever cherish my memories of Nick and of his strength, integrity and kindness.
