For my dear old friends, the Mentis family....I was away when Nick left you. My deepest sympathy to you. He was such a kind and generous person and I know how much Bessie meant to him through all these years. May you all be well and healthy to remember the good times

Dear Pauline, Irene and Catherine: How very sad to hear that Nick has passed away. I am truly sorry that I did not know in time to pay our family's respects. Each time I drive up Annapolis Road or go to see my Aunt Elsie, I pass the corner and think of the wonderful haven your business was for so many young and old alike. One wonderful memory is the day that Al Kaline signed his baseball contract and Nick was so excited, putting the newspaper up on the wall and telling everyone as they entered the restaurant.
