Peggy Williston Obituary

Peggy Williston, Age 83, of Abingdon, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in Forest Hill.

Born in Bel Air, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Guy John Brewer and Lena River (Oliver) Brewer. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Wallace Williston, with whom she shared 39 years of marriage.

Peggy was a devoted homemaker who also worked for several years in the cafeterias of three local schools. She later spent time working at a nursing home, where she assisted with janitorial services. A faithful and lifelong member of Bel Forest Baptist Church in Bel Air, she attended from the time the church first opened. She was deeply devoted to her family and found joy in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and her sister.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Williston, and her parents, Guy, and Lena Brewer.

She is survived by her son, Mark Williston; daughter, Debbie, and her husband Bob Robertson; her sister, Betty Jean McGuire, and her family; grandchildren, Paul Gross, Michael Gross, Daniel Gross, Mark Williston, Jr., and Kaitlin and her husband Ben Deigert; and great-grandchild, Daniel Williston.

A funeral Service was held on September 2, 2025, at Bel Forest Baptist Church, Bel Air, Maryland. A graveside service was held at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
