Porter Garrette Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Garrette Steven Porter, affectionately known as "Junior," who departed this life on December 17, 2024, in Centreville, MD, at the age of 51.

Born on May 30, 1973, in Washington, D.C., Garrette embodied strength and determination throughout his life. For the past 3 years, he faced a courageous battle with cancer, demonstrating unwavering resilience and a steadfast commitment to his family.

He was a proud father to Shae, Ayden, Tiara, and Abreauna, who will forever cherish his memory. He also found immense joy in being a grandfather to Jaxon Kash, his first grandson. Garrette shared a special bond with his daughter-in-law, Katie, whose dedication to their family was deeply valued. Garrette is also survived by his mother Gladys Garnett and siblings, Michael Garnett, Lynn, Merriam & Kevin Porter

Garrette will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
