Ralph Kemp Obituary
Born and raised in Baltimore, Ralph learned the family business at Cloverland Dairy from the bottom up, starting with his early positions as janitor, bottle washer and routeman. His family business that started in 1919 is the only surviving dairy in the Baltimore metropolitan area. Ralph's understanding and dedication to the dairy has long been recognized by those in the dairy industry. He was appointed by the Governor of Maryland to serve on the Maryland Dairy Industry Oversight and Advisory Council in 2007 and inducted into the Maryland Food Industry Hall of Fame in 2009. In the 1960's Cloverland opened dairy stores called White Jug which morphed into Royal Farms and today has 270 locations in 6 states. Ralph served as President of Two Farms, Inc. which operates Cloverland Dairy (fluid dairy processing) and Royal Farms (convenience & fuel).
Ralph is the beloved husband of Suzanne Leppart Kemp; devoted father of John Kemp (Robin), Sandra Kemp, Renee Kemp, and Valerie Kemp; loving grandfather of Emily Slabinski (Timur Tsu Tsuk), Michael Slabinski, Shelby Kemp (Keon Parsa), Abigail Kemp (Andrew Stinchfield), Jack Kemp, Maynard Mann, and Alexis Mann; cherished great-grandfather of Addeline Tsu Tsuk and Nicholas Tsu Tsuk; dear brother of the late Doris Boone.
The family will have a celebration of life on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Woodbury Kitchen, 2010 Clipper Park Rd Suite 126, Baltimore, MD 21211 from 12-2 PM. A private family graveside service will be held on Monday at Lorraine Park Cemetery.

Mr. Kemp was a wonderful gentleman, I used to work the front desk and call order at cloverland for about 5 years, we would sit and talk about the flowers out front about my great-grandfather and how he worked at a dairy over in West Baltimore and he was just a joy always pleasant always had a kind and encouraging word and I am so sorry to hear of his passing he was and will always be for me such a wonderful gentleman, handsome and happy that's how I describe Mr. Kemp, he love for the dirty to be neat and clean and he would always ask me the names of certain flowers that would flourish in the entrance garden; every time I pass the dairy which is in my district the 43rd, I serve on State Central committee, I think of how wonderful Mr. Kemp was and how proud he would be of me as we talked about how I could be a more service to the community, he was always encouraging as I told him of my travels and the things that I did in Waverly village.
