The Tobias Family,
I have known Uncle Ray (what I like to call him) ever since I was born. I can not remember one year throughout my childhood and teen years that I was not camping at Ray’s farm. I always look forward to seeing the family at the reunions. My fondest memories of him are the tractor rides with Cleo (his dog), hikes up to the old house that is no longer there, swimming, the stories he used to tell us about the out house and his famous ear trick. He will be sorely missed and always loved by all that he touched.
I will miss you Uncle Ray.

Terry & Mike,
I have many fond memories of family reunions at the farm with Uncle Ray. It was a place to see family once a year that you seem to busy to set time aside for during the year with busy lifestyles, work and family. It’s been several years since I have been home to PA and one of the many family reunions but the memories of my teen years there will live on in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Mike and Terry:
Sorry to hear about the death of your Dad and Father-in-law. I just rolled in from being in Detroit and was hoping that the viewing was at least through Thursday. I would have liked to be there to see everyone once again. Larry sent this to me from a York paper. What a coincidence. My condolences to you and your family. Hopefully the memories we all shared growing up playing music and hanging out together will keep everyones spirit up.
Tony

Dear Mike and Terry:
Sorry to hear about the death of your Dad. I fondly remember summer days at your farm in our younger days when you and my brother played in the La More's.
I read about your father's passing in the YORK DAILY RECORD and discovered that your brother is essentially a neighbor of mine in New Freedom, PA. Isn't it amazing how many lives are intertwined even if we don't know it?
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Warmest Regards,
Larry D'Apice

I am the daughter of Ray's niece Deanna and Granddaughter of his sister Catherine. I wanted to express my sympathy to the family on his passing. I was lucky enough to be able to attend the reunions at Uncle Ray's farm before moving to Alaska 6 years ago. I have wonderful memories of those times.
Take care everyone and God Bless.

So sorry to hear of our great loss. There can be no explanation for the pains we are succombed to in life, but our Lord encourages us to trust Him and abide in His strength. Family and friends, Ray was one you could always count on even when your day was bad, just for him to walk in the room would cheer you up. Thats just the way he was. Ray was always quick to lend a helping hand to family and friends. We would always talk about the farm and how he was wounded in battle and that I will miss greatly, especially having him at the family reunion. Most of all I miss his smiling face and good gestures. He will forever remain in my thoughts and prayers. Ray will be greatly missed by all.
