I was an old friend of Richard. I just found out the tragic news. We were friends way back when we were 19. Me, Richard and Steve Serra were all the best of friends for many years. I was shocked and saddened by the news. Richard was a character. He was full of energy, always laughing. He was so full of life. With a truly saddened heart a I never will forget the memories we shared. May you rest in the arms of an angel. Much love, Betsie Shaivitz

Karen and Maxi,

Our hearts ache for the loss of your beloved husband and wonderful daddy more than words can say. We have fond memories growing up next door to Richard and Brian for many years in our lives. This is truly a very sad day as we try to grasp such a sudden and tragic loss and send our love to you and Maxi always.

Karen,
Thinking of you and Max this rainy Friday.
I used to see the two of them occasionally at the Parkdale entrance to the park. Rich gave so much to the community of Medfield but also was a mentor to newer association members, as I was in Woodberry. Always smiling and laughing.

Karen,
I am so very sorry. My heart is still so heavy as I continue to process this. You are in my thoughts and prayers each day. As you know Richard was one of my best friends starting way back in 8th grade and continuing though the years. He was like family and truly one of a kind. He will be missed, and we will love and remember him always.

We loved him as he was our last remembrance of Dixie.

However, we love you dearly and will ALWAYS be here for you and Maxi.

Love,

Dearest Karen, so sorry for your loss. Saddened through my soul to know Richard is no longer with us. My baby cousin, whom we loved so dearly , was so giving, and so very much like his dad, Uncle Richard. Prayers for strength today, tomorrow and always. Love, hugs and kisses from cousin Karen Kaminski Sprankle

Karen, I am so sorry for your great loss. Richard and I were highschool buddies and shared many laughs. There will never be another like him.

We are very sad that our nephew has passed away much too soon. Our hearts go out to Karen and to Maxi. On November 26, I texted Richard with Christmas plans. He told me that he, Karen and Maxi were going to St Michaels for a long overdue vacation. He said it's something we always wanted to do. Very sad. Praying for consolation for Karen and his beloved Maxi.
