To the Entire Oles Family -

Losing Ricky is losing a part of "my history". I grew up with the Oles family and have memories that go back farther than I care to remember. I actually was Ricky's babysitter on occasion - if you call watching him play in the back yard babysitting. He was certainly a happy child, always smiling.

I am so saddened by Ricky's passing.....naturally my thoughts first and foremost go to Jane and the children.....but not forgetting his mom & brothers and sister.

I'm too well acquainted with losing a loved one so unexpectedly...it is NOT an easy path. Everyone handles things so differently and more importantly at their own pace and time. There are no rules!

I pray that you all support each other at this difficult time and find the strength to continue your own journey.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

With love,

Jane Marchino Preto (part of the Berger Avenue gang!!)

While it's been a long time since Mr. Rick was my cub scout leader, I certainly remember the valuable lessons I learned while I was associated with the organization. He was very caring and when I heard of his death, I could recall fond memories from my childhood. I recently lost my father so I can understand what Andy is going though but I'm sure he'll stay strong. My prayers are with the entire family.

To The Oles family,
I worked with your dad and husband at rockwell collins and was in total shock to here of his death, He was a great guy and he sure loved his family. He talked a lot about all of you and you could just tell how much he loved all of you. I know there is no words to say right now but just know my heart and thought go out to you.

Shawn,
The level of sincerety and tremendous traits that are inherent to your being manifest as a product of your parents' own traits. Although I did not meet your father, I know he must have been full of passion for life and sincerety as you are. I pray for strength and peace during this difficult time for you and your family.

Jane and Family
God is our strength and comfort in these times. We've had our losses this past year with Donna's Father. We go in His Grace day by day.
We enjoyed a great time together in the Pack with Rick as den Leader and later in the Troop as I assisted him. Many boys were influenced by his strength and character. He will be missed greatly.

Family,
I worked with Rick at Allied/Raytheon and remember him always as a positive person and kind person. We had many laughs and he had a great sense of humor. He was a very sharp guy who knew about everything from square knots to software.

Our heartfelt condolences to the Oles family. We had the pleasure of working with Rick for many years, first on the Central Identification Friend or Foe (CIFF) program when he initially came to work at Bendix/Allied Signal/Raytheon, and again several times later on various phases of the Precision Runway Monitor (PRM) program. Rick was a hard working, dedicated and very professional software engineer, as well as a devoted husband and father. He and his family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Shawn,

While I never met your father, I am certain that I see a great deal of him in you. A person's children is their greatest testament. I'm sure your dad is rightly quite proud of his.

You and your mom, grandmom, and family are very much in my thoughts and prayers.

Cindy and Family,
A few years ago I lost my Mom, so I know there are really NO Words a person can say to help you endure this sorrowful time. Just know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Always remember.... The Lord is all perfect and does not make mistakes. He will come for each one of us in his own time and when it is "His Will" Live each day as if it will be your last, because tomorrow is not promised to any of us.

Your Dad is at peace now!
