What fond memories I have of Dr. Wegner...we go way, way back...besides being my 6th grade teacher at the school there, he was the man who introduced me to what has become one of my passions in life...the organ. I used to sit behind him on many a Sunday during services, watching him work his magic on both the organs there...I know that his kids, some of whom I went to school there with, will miss his presence...but the folks in heaven are the lucky ones now...they get to hear him play! I would say rest in peace, Dr Wegner, but something tells me that you are just as busy as ever!

This was a man dedicated to excellence. Whether it was at the organ, directing a choir, in the classroom or on the ball field. If you were his student, you knew he expected the best you could offer. To say that he had high standards is an understatement. He has continued to inspire me each time I listen to any of his recordings. I appreciate them even more with each passing year. It has also been a privilege to enjoy years of friendship with him and his family. No doubt that he was greeted with “well done, good and faithful servant”! Thank you God, for this man. May God bless and keep his family in the days ahead.
