Robert DePaola Obituary
On June 29, 2014 Robert DePaola, retired Homicide Detective Sergeant of the Baltimore City Police Department, and former Marine, died at home of natural causes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline DePaola and his wife, Joan Treadway-DePaola, 6 brothers and sisters and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Betty Lee Lambert-DePaola; three children: Robert DePaola, Jr. and wife Karen; Glenn DePaola and fiancée Janet Lisowsky; and Donna DePaola; stepchildren Cindy Treadway; Jodie Shipley; Keith Treadway; Candy Treadway; stepchildren: Bart Lambert, Jr.; Patricia Hultquist; and Tina Lambert-Marzec, his sons-in-law, Stephen Hultquist and Ronald Marzec, and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bob founded and loved participating in the 21 Club of Sacred Heart Church of Glyndon. Horse racing and crossword puzzles were his passion. He was also an avid and devoted Orioles and Ravens fan; a member of the Baltimore Retired Police Benevolent Association, The American Legion, The Elks Club of Ocean City, a former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Maryland Law Enforcement Officers, the National Fraternal Order of Police and the International Police Association. Friends and relatives may attend the viewing from 3-5 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, July 2 at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterestown Rd. Owings Mills. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glyndon, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD 21071, on Thursday, July 3, at 12:00 Noon. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers, please send donations in Memory of Robert DePaola to the American Heart Association and / or the National Kidney Foundation. Online condolences may be offered at
