Shelton Green Obituary



Shelton Langston Green Sr. was born March 3, 1942 to the late Raymond and Sarah Green in Baltimore, MD. After a lengthy disability, he was called home on June 17, 2015. Shelton received his high school diploma from Sollers Point High School in Turners Station, MD. While in high school, he met and married his high school sweetheart Barbra Taylor. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1964 to 1968, and after receiving an honorable discharge, he enlisted and retired from the U.S. Army Reserves after over 30 years of service. During his service, he was activated and deployed to Iraq in Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom with a final tour of duty at an undisclosed location in Hawaii. During the late 70's Shelton and family moved to Aberdeen. Shelton leaves to mourn his wife of 47 years Barbra, 3 children: Shelton Green Jr., Bryan Green Sr. and Aaron Green, a close nephew Dereck Taylor, 3 brothers: William (Sonny) Green, Edmond (Ninny) Green and Raymond (Butch) Green, and a host of in-laws, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Viewing was held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the James A. Morton Funeral Home, 311 Main St., Dundalk, MD. Wake and Funeral Services will be on June 24, 2015 at Life Changing Ministries, 620 S Beechfield Ave, Baltimore, MD 21229. Wake will start at 10:30am with funeral immediately to follow.
