Stuart Floam Obituary
OXFORD, FL - On December 24, 2017, Stuart Floam, beloved husband of Sharlene Floam (Nee Solomon), passed away in Florida. He is survived by his cherished children Joseph Floam. Andrew Floam, Kathy Floam Greenspan and Mindy Floam Lockner; beloved grandfather of Jacob, Caroline, Emily, Harrison, Michael and Natalie Floam; Keith and Kelly Lockner and great- grandchildren Aubree Reynolds and Mikaela Lockner; brother of Steve Randall (Floam); also survived by loving sister-in-law Abbey Solomon Ransdell, nephew Mark Hoffman and great nephew Jordan Hoffman and other family and friends; son of the late Jerome (Sonny) and Lillian Floam (nee Schilling). Born in Baltimore, MD on Jul 22, 1937, Stuart was a free spirit whose passions were family, friends, the United States Air Force, photography and travel. He was proud to serve as a Loadmaster for C-124 Globemaster aircraft in the U. S. Air Force in the mid-1950's and to be stationed at Kadena Air Base and Naha Air Base, both in Okinawa, Japan. Once he returned home, he built a career as a leading professional photographer in the Baltimore area for over 40 years. He and his wife enjoyed traveling to the far corners of the world including India, Asia, Africa and Europe photographing all of their adventures A graveside service will take place at 10 AM on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Please omit flowers. Contributions in Stuart's memory may be sent to Wounded Warrior Project or the Baltimore Humane Society, 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136. I am very sorry to hear of Uncle Stuart's passing. I have very fond memories of him and know he will be missed . As a child, I was amazed and in awe of his world travels and the beautiful photographs he took of the exotic and far away places. His talent as a photographer went far beyond the events that he shot for a living. My condolences to the family.

Stuart will live on in our hearts forever. He was Dave's mentor and best friend for many years , and his absence will leave a void that no one else could ever fill. Our lives were made so much fuller and richer because of him. Thank you, Stuart, for being a special part of our lives. We love you!

My deepest condolences on your enormous loss, Kathy, I know your dad was your closest friend and you were his world and he was yours. I will always remember him singing Bruce Springsteen at your wedding.. I was in awe, he was AMAZING.
