I still miss him and often look when I am at St. Mark's for mass. We had some fun going to the doctors in Glen Burnie because afterward he would take me to lunch. He was such a generous man.

Tom is my Granddad, his impact in my life will not be forgotten. His love and service in his church and for his family inspires me daily to strive for the best and to never lose hope. I have the utmost faith that him, my Grandma Anna and Jesus are celebrating in heaven and I wouldn't be surprised if it included a big pile of crabs. I will miss him everyday and I know the holidays won't be the same. Macklyn and I love you, Granddad. We can't wait to share our memories of Granddad with our soon-to-be son, Judah Thomas, so that he knows the significance of his middle name.

I will surely miss him but am comforted by the love from his family. He was a dear friend who brought much laughter and happiness into my life. He was a true gentleman, generous, kind and thoughtful to everyone he met.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tom at a holiday brunch at the Mission BarBQ last Dec. 5. We shared a table in a very crowded room, when he invited me to sit with him. We talked and had a nice time. That started a lovely friendship with him as we discovered how much we had in common. I loved listening to his stories and we would talk every night before bedtime. He came into my life when I needed a special friend to help me cope with the love of my life, my husband Vic after he had a stroke and never recovered.
Tom was proud of his wife and the family they had raised. He was looking forward to meeting his newest greatgrandchild. He was also looking forward to going back to line dancing. During our talks I learned he was a good cook and loved his steamed veggies. He was independent and stubborn and didn't like to ask for help.
We enjoyed watching the Orioles and Ravens games. He was at his house and I was at mine. He turned the volume off on the TV and up on the radio, because he liked the announcer better. He would laugh and say I saw something before he did because of time delay.
He had become a special part of my life and I miss him dearly. Thanks Carter Family for sharing him with me when I needed a friend. Rest in Peace Tom, I know you are happy to be with Anna and Rose Mary. Darla
