I was so very sorry when I heard that Tom passed away. I grew up in the same neighborhood as Tom.
One memory I have is going to Tommy´s birthday party at the DeLisa´s house. If I am remembering right, his birthday was on or near to my cousin Timmy´s birthday and it was a party for both of them.
Mrs. DeLisa made two cakes that were triangle-shaped and I thought that was very cool. I remember too that she had originally made three cakes, stored them in the basement, and their dog Shep ate one the night before.
The last thing was that either Timmy or Tommy blew out the candles really fast one at a time and I decided I was going to do that on my next birthday.
Mostly I remember Tom DeLisa as a solidly decent person and a nice guy.
May he rest in the loving embrace of our Savior.

No words can capture the depth of grief we feel in the loss of our wonderful colleague and friend, Tom! But know this...a bright light has left earth and now shines in Heaven, and Tom´s example of kindness and love will guide us all, until we meet again. All my love and prayers for Anne, family, and to all who were blessed by Tom´s presence!

I'm so sorry to hear of Tom's death. He was a good friend for many years. First as a colleague at work, then teammate on the "39 Dodgers" and the "Sea Dogs" baseball teams. He sense of humor was great, and he loved his family. He will be missed, my deepest sympathy to all his family.
