Thomas Hoppa Obituary

Thomas S. "Sudsie", "Scotty" Hoppa, 57, passed away on February 16th due to complications of a brain tumor. Born in Baltimore Maryland, he was the youngest son of the late Raymond and Ann Hoppa.

Tom was a graduate of Calvert Hall and received an AA degree from Essex Community College. He went on to become a title abstractor and founded his own business in 1999. Outside of work you could find Tom at his farm with his horse Oakie or tending to a garden and mowing the grass. He also loved to cook and bake for Holiday gatherings, a trait learned from family tradition and working in several restaurants.

Tom is survived by his siblings Raymond and wife Becky, Patrick and wife Patty, Robert and wife Sheila, Timothy and wife Lisa, Michele and husband Michael and Nancy Hoppa.

Tom's life was one of service to his family, friends, church and community. His gentle smile and holiday-like spirit will be greatly missed by his siblings, his nieces and nephews and all those who were blessed enough to call him their friend.

A celebration of life ceremony and condolences will be announced at a later date on the website below.

Contributions in Tom's name can be made to the Humane society or the American Brain tumor Association.

Rest in peace Sudsie... Thank you for all the wonderful memories from ski trips, rafting and camping over the years. I'm sure that my brother Mike has found you by now and you are both enjoying a cold one together.

My deepest Sympathy and Condolences to the Hoppa Family! I knew Tom had cancer and that this cancer was fatal but I was expecting his passing to be so soon. Tom was one of my best and coolest friends. Every year he always went on Camping and White Water Rafting Trips in the Summer and Ski Trips in the Winter. He was always lively and fun to be with. His presence was irreplaceable. He will surely be missed.
