Dr Thomas Koch was a great teacher, mentor and fellow-researcher to me during my days at Baltimore V A Hospital during 1983 - 1986.
We met weekly at V A Hospital to discuss my research work under his guidance. He opened up his laboratory resources at University of Maryland Hospital to me.
Together, we published about 3 research papers in "Clinical Chemistry".
I regret that I lost contact with him after late 1980s.
I'll miss his smile and encouragement.

Dear Linda & family,
I am completely devastated to hear that Dr. Koch passed away. I am so very sorry for your loss, however, I am so fortunate to have known him. Some of my fondest memories from MML/Quest was during my 13 years when I was his Administrative Assistant. He was a great man and will surely be missed by everyone who knew him. Sending healing thoughts, prayers and comforting hugs to you and your family during this difficult time.
Wishing you peace, Betty Mullins-Winegar & Family

Heartbreaking for sure. He was the kindest man. I learned so much from Dr. Koch. May he Rest In Peace and his memory be eternal. A great loss for the world.
