Valerie Curry Obituary
Val attended the University of Maryland College Park, receiving the BS in Zoology. Upon graduating from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Val completed her postdoctoral training in Pediatrics at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. Val practiced medicine at Children's Hospital in Richmond, VA and University of Maryland, Department of Pediatrics in Baltimore, Maryland. In October 2002, she joined the practiced of Greitzer & Marks in Chatham, NY. Val assumed leadership of the practice in 2014 and served as physician to Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth in Canaan, NY and the Chatham School District.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Gordon. Her memory will be cherished by her brother, Virgil Curry and a host of other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held 11:00am, October 2nd, 2021 at Kinderhook Reformed Dutch Church, 21 Broad Street, Kinderhook, NY 12106.
Final arrangements were handled by Simple Choices Inc. Cremations, 218 2nd Ave Troy, NY.

To Virgil, this is cousin Debbie from Baltimore. I was so saddened to hear of Valerie's passing. My prayers and thoughts are with you. On several occasions when she visited Baltimore- she would stop by and visit. May God bless you!

Sorry to hear of your loss of Dr.Valerie Curry. She was my daughter (Savannah Schmidt´s) doctor. She was so nice and always worried about her issues . She will be missed.

So saddened to hear of Dr. Currys passing. What an amazing woman and doctor. So full of life. Truly heartbroken. My son will miss seeing her, as will I.

Dr. Curry has seen my children since 2009. I loved her Southern accent and how personable she was. We were all shocked and saddened to hear of her passing.

I am so sad to hear of Dr. Curry´s death... she was such a sweet person and was wonderful with my kids when they needed to see her... she will be missed
