Dr. Vitale's son Jim has been my best friend since high school for over 50 years . I have shared many great memories with Dr."V" , including flying with him in his plane down the Chesapeake . Whenever I would see him at a party or get together ,we would always have a great conversation on just about any subject you could think of .I was always amazed at his wealth of knowledge . He was always warm ,fun to be with , and treated you like "one of the family" . Bev and I will miss him dearly . Don and Bev Wojcik.

I grew up being one of Susan and Barbs best friends . Therefore I have known Dr Vitale for over 50 years!
He was like my second father to me ! I think I lived at their house more than I did at mine !
Dr Vitale was always so loving and generous to everyone he knew . He loved being a doctor and helping people . Ill ll never forget When my mothers father died , he dropped everything and came Right over .
He was so intelligent and had a great business sense which made him start Medifast and Jason Pharmaceuticals. I remember he and Jimmy mixing the first product in the garage ! Thats how Medifast started ! And as most of you Know ,it became a huge success !
As for my relationship with Dr. Vitale, I knew him as the loving , generous , funny, and adventurous father of Jim, Barb , Susan . And a second father to me ! He was the person who pierced my ears when I was 11 . I told him my mom said it was ok , but of course, I fibbed ! He took me on my first plane ride . I was so scared , but he made me feel safe . When Susan , Barb and I would get in trouble , he would attempt to discipline us but usually , we could tell he was actually trying
Not to laugh, probably cause he did the same things when he Was
young !
I have so many memories of him in my life ,family dinner on Sundays ( alway spaghetti ) holidays, birthdays , Sleepovers with the girls !
Later in my life, he shared special times with Tom and I and the girls .
Tom admired him so much for his business sense and how he became a successful entrepreneur ! He loved him for how he showed he loved me .
The last several years , I was not able to see him much , but my thoughts and heart was with him. When Susan called to tell me how sick he was , my heart ached for him and for Susan , Barbara , and Jim . His passing means their is a hole in the hearts of those who loved him but you will be with him one day
And that hole will be filled once again .
All my love And prayers to you Susan, Barbara, Jim and the family .
