Donna Bowers Obituary
Battle Creek
Donna Jean (Fuelling) Bowers, age 78, of Battle Creek went to meet her God after a brief illness on Thursday, February 25, 2016. She was born March 18, 1937 in Three Rivers, Michigan the daughter of Ralph and Genevieve (Bloom) Fuelling. Donna graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1955 and worked in the cafeteria at Lakeview High School for 25 years.
On August 9, 1958 she married Ray D. Bowers who survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Kathy (Reggie) Mahoney of Battle Creek and Cheryl L Bowers of Rochester Hills; son, Michael L Bowers of Commerce Township; seven grandchildren: Natalie, Jillian, Meredith, Leah, Bryce, Alec and Sydney; and one great granddaughter, Myah; brother: Robert (Connie) Fuelling of Three Rivers; and sister and brother in law: Sara and Joe Brescher of Watchung, NJ. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Freddie, Russell, Dale, and a granddaughter Mallory.
Donna was a devoted mother and wife who enjoyed her family and friends, and loved doing crafts and playing games. She and Ray enjoyed many hours of grandchildren activities and sporting events. She will be greatly missed by all.
The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. In keeping with her wishes, a private family burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to Shriners Hospital for Children, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warriors Project. www.henryfuneralhome.org

Bowers family,
I was extremely saddened when Pam told me of Donna's sudden passing. I remember being very touched when you sent a card when my wife Lisa was recovering from her brain surgery. I knew when we first met that you were that type of people. Please accept my late but sincere sympathy. Forever one of my favorite Spartans.
