Emery C. Traver

Emery C. Traver Albion Emery C. Traver, age 90, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at his residence. He was born March 27, 1919 to Alva and Nellie (Burleson) Traver in Beaverton, Michigan. In 1954 he married Marjorie Peavey who survives. Emery was a Veteran of the Navy during WWII. He was a member of the State Retirees Association. Albion Free Methodist Church, A.A.R.P and the Fraternal Order of Gleaners. He enjoyed gardening and coin collecting. Survivors are his wife Marjorie Traver of Albion; a brother Hylen Traver of Coldwater; 2 sisters-in-law, Janet Dauber of Newago and Frances Roe of Battle Creek; 2 brothers-in-law, Kenneth Peavey of White Cloud and Donald Peavey of Haiti; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Monday, June 15, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Albion Free Methodist Church in Albion with Rev. Robert Bolton officiating. Visitation will be Monday, June 15, 2009 from Noon until time of service at the Albion Free Methodist Church. Burial will be at Albion Memory Gardens Cemetery.
