I am her grandaughter Beatrice, Kathleen daughter. We love you and miss you Grandma...
Grandma was always there for me growing up living with her in Urbandale. How she sacrifice a lot for her grandchildren and children.
She was a woman of God and always had us saying our prayers at night before we went to bed. She would also take us to church and on summer vacations. She was very wise and once as young girl 35 years ago she predicted that we would one day have a black president. I will miss her and her spirit lives on in our hearts. We all carry a part of Grandma that will never die.
love,
Beatrice

I want to say how sorry I am for the passing of your family member. I am trying to find out if she was related to our family. I see that her fathers name is Harley VanWormer. My grandmother was a VanWormer and Had a brother named Harley. Her name was Ethel (VanWormer) Potter. Some of her sisters names were Murtie, Nettie, Blanch and I remember a Vin and Henry. My greatgrand mother had about 10 to 12 children and then greatgrandpa died and she married a Reed. Please let me know if anyone remembers anything. Again I want to tell you how sorry I am.
