Harold Rothwell Obituary

Harold Eugene Rothwell Battle Creek Harold Eugene Rothwell, 77, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009, at his home. He was born January 4, 1922 in Pikeville, TN, the son of Charlie W. and Nellie (Gooch) Rothwell. Harold was previously employed by United Steel and Wire and Rhoades Construction. He enjoyed gardening, building rock gardens and landscaping. He also enjoyed woodworking and fixing things he collected at household sales. Harold married the former Beulah Ruth Henderson on May 9, 1941. She preceded him in death on April 2, 1995. Harold is survived by his children Christine Babick, Wade Rothwell, Elaine Stewart, Charles Rothwell, Brenda Thomason, Loretta Rothwell, Elvis Rothwell, Rick Rothwell and Tony Rothwell. He also leaves 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He is survived by sisters Jewel McClure, Gladys Wallace and Ruby Doss and brothers Clyde and Caulie Rothwell. Harold was preceded by his son Wendell Rothwell, sister Ruth Swafford and brothers James and Clarence Rothwell. Visitation will be from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. and 6:00p.m. to 8:00pm Sunday at Royal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00p.m., Monday, December 14, 2009 at Royal Funeral Home. Entombment will be a Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.

Wade. My condolences to you and your family on your father's passing. Time heals but losing parents is a an adjustment. I lost my mom in September and miss not being able to just pick up the phone and call. I hope you have many fond memories to comfort you, especially at this time of the year.
