Dear Jim and Marty and family,
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. Your mother (grandmother) is finally home. You have our prayers and our love.

When my niece, Laurie was two, she and I would bicycle to Michigan Christian Home where we would visit Mrs. Hall. She was always, upbeat, positive and encouraging to us! She and I are only a select few that even knew that she drove right past me and refused to pick me up the day I was hitchhiking from Grand Rapids to Battle Creek.

I remember sharing part of my child hood with Martha on Battle Creek Ave. Mrs. Hall had a neighbor hood bible study that the neighbor hood kids enjoyed. What special memories we have of the Halls.

Mrs. Hall, present with the Lord after joyfully serving him here a bit longer than most. We can only imagine her joy since arriving home. I remember her and Odell serving well in various ministries at CBC in Battle Creek. Lulu, (I don't think I ever called her by her first name however), was interested in others and always encouraged us when we would see her at Beacon Hill or CBC in GR. She touched others with a grace that bears the mark of Jesus Christ her Lord. We look forward to seeing her again.

We want to extend our sympathy to Lulu's family and close friends. Our world will be different without her, but it is comforting to know that we shall see her again one day. We are praying for you.

Dear Family,
We are so very grateful to have known Mrs. Hall (and Mr. Hall, too). We always thought of her as being "sharp as a tack," and we always enjoyed talking with her. She expressed interest in others. Mr. and Mrs. Hall opened their homes and hearts to us back in the 1950's and onward. We remember when Mrs. Hall was the choir director - she had a beautiful voice. She and Mr. Hall exposed me (Connie) to the outside world by inviting me along to the WK Kellogg Wildlife Series back in the 1960's. Janis remembers when Mrs. Hall directed Lois Berends and Marti and herself in a trio at Calvary. (Janis is here in TN with me as I am having shoulder surgery tomorrow. She would, otherwise, have attended the funeral). Dad commented that the Halls were always on the outlook for where he could get some firewood to burn in our burner back in the 70's. Our lives have definitely been enriched through the both Mr. and Mrs. Hall's faithfulness to the Lord. Our prayers are with you all. Oh how sweet it is to know that our loved ones are with the Lord and that we, as believers, will be joining them, in the Lord's time. Love in Christ, Curtis, Connie and Janis Dillard

Mrs. Hall was my first Sunday School teacher at Calvary Baptist. She was a wonderful teacher! I know she's in Heaven and joining in the Heavenly choir!

What a wonderful woman of God who's now received her "well done thou good and faithful servant!"
What a pleasure to have known Mrs. Hall (and her family). I look forward to seeing her again soon and spending eternity with her.
