Back to Battle Creek for a HS reunion, I visited the Simpson/Burke grave sites. Close
to our family´s area was mom and dad´s dear friend Margaret.
They were never far apart and Margaret passed on Dad´s birthday.

I remember Margaret - friend, neighbor and special person. She was a precious person throughout many stages of the Simpson/Burke lives.

Margaret was more than a friend to the Burke´s and Simpsons. She died on my father´s birthday after being a life long friend, neighbor and fellow Catholic(Irish). Battle Creek, Lakeview and the Fountains
were mutual residences. Frank sang us to school in the morning; Teresa was my sister´s classmate/friend and Margaret´s announcement about the move to the Fountains reinforced mom´s difficult decision. Margaret may have passed, but her goodness lives on in others.
