Margaret Sullivan Obituary

Margaret Mary "Peg" Sullivan Battle Creek Margaret Mary "Peg" Sullivan, age 83, of Battle Creek, died Monday, January 12, 2009, at the Evergreen Manor, Springfield, MI. following a lengthy illness. Peg was born on January 31, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York and was the daughter of William and Margaret (Keating) Marshall. She was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church and had been active in the Civic Theater, where many cast parties were held at the Sullivan residence. Peg truly enjoyed entertaining friends and her husband's business associates. On April 15, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY, Peg was united in marriage to Thomas J. Sullivan, who preceded her in death on December 4, 2000. Surviving are her daughter: Kathleen S. "Kathy" (Tim) Wanner of Battle Creek; five grandchildren: Brian Wanner, Rebecca (Tom) Sheren, Sara (Ryan) Jaime, Elizabeth Wanner and Thomas Wanner; a great-granddaughter: Alexis Jaime; and by two brothers: Martin (Helen) Marshall of Tampa, FL and Thomas (Elysee) Marshall of Naples, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents and by two sons: Ed and Charlie Sullivan. At the request of the family, friends may call today, January 14th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek, where the Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 15th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip Catholic Church, 92 Capital Avenue, NE, with Father Charles H. Fischer, celebrant. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 17th at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens, Palm Harbor, FL. Memorial contributions in Peg's honor may be made to St. Philip Catholic Church. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com
