Pauline McGlynn Obituary

Pauline Marguerite McGlynn Battle Creek Pauline Marguerite McGlynn, 94, died Wednesday evening, May 4, 2011at the Evergreen Senior Care and Rehab Center. She was born in Sandusky, Ohio on June 28, 1916 the daughter of Julius and Emma (Yeckley) Lidke. Pauline married James F. McGlynn in Clyde, Ohio on September 8, 1937; he preceded her in death on September 27, 1999 after more than 62 years of marriage. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Kathryn (Bob) Paulson, Mary Jane Shivley and Margaret Myers; her son, James F. McGlynn, Jr.; 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren. Pauline was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Harold Lidke, Lewis Lidke, Carl Lidke and 2 sons-in-law, Gary Shivley and Charley Myers. Pauline was a member of the Riverside Country Club, a former member of the Marywood & Bedford Valley Country Clubs and bowled in the Marywood Northside Bowling League. She attended St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing golf and bowling. At the request of the family, they will receive friends 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home where funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 9, 2011. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to charity of your choice. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.

Mary Jane and family, so sorry to hear of your Mom's
passing. She was always so nice to me. You were blessed
to have her so long. My prayers are with you all. I know

Jim, I recall your mom from my days as a member of both Marywood and Bedford Valley country clubs
She was a very lovely lady You should be very proud to have had her as your mother

I'm so sorry to here of Pauline's passing. She was a neat lady, used to play golf with her at Riverside, could not believe how well she die well into her 80's. My thoughts to all the family.

I remember Mrs, McGlynn coming into the Radio Shack store with Jim years ago. She was always so pleasant and easy to talk with.
