Tracy Johnson Obituary

Tracy Gilbert Johnson Graham Lake, Leroy Township Tracy Gilbert Johnson, 92, died Thursday, September 16, 2010, at his home. He was born March 6, 1918, in Leroy Township, the son of Montie and Eda (Sprague) Johnson. He had been a lifelong area resident graduating from Lakeview High School in 1936 and served with the 6th Army Headquarters in San Francisco, during World War II. Tracy was employed by the Battle Creek Farm Bureau, Eaton Manufacturing and with Clark Equipment for 30 years retiring in 1976 at Georgetown, Kentucky. As a boy he was very active in Dairy 4H and won a scholarship in Dairy Production to Michigan State College. He was a member of the Sonoma United Methodist Church, past treasurer of the Clark Retirees Club and the Zeller Rats. On May 15, 1938, he was united in marriage to the former Doris J. Lester who survives. Also surviving are daughters, Janet (Joe) Callaghan of Warsaw, IN and Judith J. (Ken) Gallaway of Normal, IL; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at Morgan Cemetery.. Arrangements by the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home

Granddad was a great man who made a difference in everyone's life. The world is a better place because he was here. I'm sure right now he's walking along side of Jesus enjoying paradise and a life well spent. Rest in peace my friend... I'll see you on the other side.
