Chris Couden Obituary
A Celebration of Life for Chris J. Couden, 53, will be at 2 pm, Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Kirby and Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals, AR with Pastor Vince Daniel officiating. Chris was called home September 26, 2012, after a lengthy and courageous battle against cancer.
Chris was born in West Palm Beach, Florida to John and Shirley Monroe Couden. Chris worked for the West Palm Beach Fire Department for almost 28 years. As a senior Driver/Engineer he was enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge and skills. He was a founding member of the Special Operations Team as well as an integral member of the Fire Department Extrication Team. Chris married Kimberlee Smoke November 1, 2008 at Copper John's Resort in Lakeview, AR. In September 2009 they moved to Lakeview, AR to begin their retirement and life together as a family. Chris was a talented man: he was a welder, mechanic, electrician, photographer, musician, and craftsman that loved to fish, hunt, and feel the wind in his face while riding his Harley.
Chris is survived by his wife, Kimberlee of Lakeview, AR; daughter, Kelsea Taylor of Lakeview, AR; mother, Shirley Couden of West Palm Beach, FL; his brother Steve, sister in-law Polly, and nephews Austin, Dalton, and Conrad Couden of Ft. Meyers, FL; and brother Ben Couden of West Palm Beach, FL. Chris was preceded home to the Lord by his father, John Couden.

Chris: looking at you and Kim just reminded me of an endless summer love. I just felt a sense of forever being around you two. It's nice to be around people in love. You were one of the great ones.
God called you home and I am happy for your heavenly healing. Your legacy will live on. You touched a lot of lives. Thank you for being you.
