Darrell Eugene McKinney, 78

A Family Graveside Service for Darrell Eugene McKinney of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain

Home, Arkansas.

Darrell passed away February 12, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 78. He was born June 12, 1937, in Algoma, West Virginia, the son of Charley and Anne Trent McKinney. He married Marie Plunger on April 20, 1957, at Berwind, West Virginia and was a member of the United States Marine Corps before retiring. Darrell was a USMC veteran of the Vietnam War. Darrell lived in Mountain Home since 1978, moving from Kansas City, MO. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Vietnam Veterans of America, Uniformed Services Disabled Retirees, Marine Corps Association and Fleet Reserve Association. He enjoyed Fishing and Reading.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Marie Laura McKinney of Mountain Home, AR.; a son, Doug (Charlyn) McKinney of Springfield, MO; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charley McKinney; his mother, Anne Katherine McKinney; his son, Danny McKinney, two sisters, and one brother.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas.
